Ingredients
Scale
2–3 portions of Sockeye salmon
1 large cedar plank
1 large lemon, sliced
1 tsp sesame oil
1 tsp paprika
2–3 tsp honey
Salt & pepper
Instructions
- Immerse the cedar plank in water, and allow to soak at least an hour. If necessary, use a dish to weigh it down.
- Heat a grill for two zone cooking with medium heat.
- Lay the salmon along the plank, skin side down. Coat the top of each piece well with sesame oil, then sprinkle with salt, pepper and paprika. Drizzle honey across the top of the fish, then top each piece with 1-2 slices of lemon.
- Place the plank over indirect heat, close the lid to the grill and allow to cook, 8-12 minutes, depending on the side of your fish. Start checking it at the 8 minute mark, when ready it should easily flake away.
